About
Vanya Cantone is an artist-filmmaker from Birmingham, UK, working across experimental documentary and community-led practices.
Their work explores post-war labour migration, with a focus on working-class histories. Drawing from personal and familial narratives alongside ethnographic research, their films attend to the emotional textures of migration.
Alongside their film work, they organise public programmes for a number of collectives, creating space for community through workshops and events. Their practice centres on building trust and producing work that is collaborative, accessible, and rooted in lived experience.
